My Approach
I believe therapy is most effective when there is a strong therapeutic relationship and a clear understanding of the factors underlying a person's concerns. Therefore, I spend time during our initial sessions gathering a personal history and developing a collaborative treatment plan. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment where each client feels heard, understood, and respected, which I believe paves the way for meaningful change. I provide 2SLGBTQ+ affirming care that is intersectional, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed.
Specific Techniques
I provide the following types of evidence-based therapy:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Exposure Therapy
Accelerated Resolution Therapy
The Gottman Method
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Self-Compassion
Good Lives Model
